Job Summary/Scope (a brief summary of the purpose of the position):
The Quiksilver Regional Sales Rep is responsible to optimize sales of Quiksilver Sportswear through selling booking, at-once, and close-out business within the territory consistent with the Quiksilver brand and Quiksilver Canada brand objectives. To achieve territory Fiscal Year Sales target by hitting quarterly sales goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Drive Revenues by
• a) Hitting quarterly targets for each season in the Fiscal Year
• b) Provide regular updates on how you are tracking against your target and reasons for any deviations
• c) Regularly review overage and close-out list and chase opportunity sales within your account base to maximize revenue.
• d) Regularly visit retail accounts to understand the marketplace, trends, competitor information, etc. Share that information frequently
• e) Explore new opportunities within your territory by selling additional styles to existing accounts or by finding new accounts that fit in our marketplace strategy
2. Have all orders entered in the system by the posted seasonal deadlines
3. Support the Quiksilver Marketing team by participating in major initiatives / events. (Example: Snowboard contests)
4. Submit expense reports regularly
6. Travel Required: Account visits in Western Canada, Quiksilver Sales meeting, Regional/ National Trade Shows, and Quiksilver sponsored events.
7. Communicate top issues / opportunities to sales management on a regular basis. Actively participate in sales meetings so that the needs of your region are addressed. Anticipate potential issues and act on creative solutions.
What you need to be successful:
- Excellent organization skills and problem solver who follows through on commitments
- Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable with figures, correspondence, and technology (familiar with retail math)
- Achiever who is results-focused, driven and has a positive attitude
- Detail oriented and able to execute projects efficiently and to timely completion
- Deal effectively with constantly changing priorities
- Creative, listens to input, and applying new ideas and solutions
- Communicates effectively through verbal and written transactions
- Prioritizes and plans work activities effectively
- Drivers license
- 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
