Second Line Application Support
Our client is a market leader in developing and providing trading solutions for financial institutions worldwide.

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible Second Line Application Support Candidate with ‘trouble shooting’ experience in Application Support and/or sustaining development of software.
Daily Activities:
- Answering phone / email correspondence with external clients as production issues arise
- Provide resolution for bug fixing
- Issue logging, localizing and handling in accordance to priorities
- Maintenance of support code tree and infrastructure
- Patch / hotfix, preparations, packaging and release
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or Electronic/ Electrical Engineering
- Excellent Client facing and Communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Software development experience in a UNIX environment, use of shell scripts and other UNIX tools
- Experience in C++ code debugging in Unix environment
- RDBMS experience, preferably Sybase or SQL Server
- Some experience in Java technologies and/or other programming languages
- Able to work under fast faced environment
- Experience in Application Support and/or sustaining development role
- Understanding of the financial markets
- Unix systems programming/networking
- Strong technical background in client-server development
- Technical support of trading systems, market data systems
- Experience with source code control systems
- Technical and business analysis skills to assess customer enhancement requirements and compile bug reports
