JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Integration Architects (Technical)
DEPARTMENT: ICE
DIVISION: Information Services
REPORT TO: Sr. Manager of Integration Center of Excellence

POSITION MANDATE
An Integrations Architect is responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating the strategies and architectures for the design and creation of all integration objects. This includes staying current with IT industry directions and best practices specifically focused around Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and its implications to integration strategies; and maintaining an awareness of enterprise-wide strategies, through active participation within the Technology Architecture Review Group (TARG). In addition, provide Integration analysts guidance through the sharing of strategy and functional area knowledge and expertise.
ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE
The Integration Architect reports to the Senior Manager of the Integration Center of Excellence as well as indirectly to application project teams to ensure strategy aligned business solutions.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Define, maintain and communicate strategies and architectures for integration, assessing the business value and architecture progress.
Actively work with Metadata Architect to design/architect all integration solutions
Build Integration object specifications from requirements document
Validate newly developed integration objects and match original design specifications
Work with QMO processes to ensure integration objects perform as designed
Actively and consistently, participate in Technology Architecture Review Group (TARG), providing constructive and supportive feedback.
Disseminate and advocate enterprise-wide strategy knowledge to functional team.
Contribute to the creation, maintenance and enforcement of solution standards and best practices
Contribute functional area documentation/content to the Enterprise Architecture body of knowledge, website content, etc.
Stay abreast of emerging business and technology directions
Participate in architecture reviews through the SDLC process
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated successful record of accomplishment as an experienced IS professional in a large complex IS organization.
Ability to translate requirements into object specifications
Minimum of 8 years IS experience and preferably some architecture role experience
Effective communicator in working with Associates and Management to develop relationships, establish trust and build credibility, which includes facilitation, presentation, correspondence, document preparation, service skills and requirement/information gathering.
Excellent problem solving, priority assessment, negotiation and decision-making skills
