SAN Solutions Architect

Position Overview
This position will have an opportunity to participate and lead high impact storage projects delivered to top tier Canadian companies. To be successful in this role, you have experience navigating large enterprise environments, presentations, documentation, and possess exceptional consulting service delivery skills for large scale storage projects. Be able to oversee and execute projects from design inception to delivery with a high degree of credibility. In addition, you have architect-ed, designed, and provided implementation guidance on storage consolidation, data de-duplication, consolidated/centralized back-up and tiered storage. As a successful SAN Solutions Architect, you will need to gain the client buy-in and commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and provide guidance on optimization methods and strategies. You will work with other key team members to establish a solid business case outlining the ROI, identify key cost savings/avoidance drivers, and help accelerate the achievement of the projected ROI through consolidation and virtualization techniques.

Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of NetApp / HP Storage technologies.
• Knowledgeable with FC, NAS, iSCSI, and CIFS storage protocols
• Strong written, verbal communication
• Understands and can articulate the merits and value of storage virtualization
• Strong customer-interaction skills and architectural skills
• Broad technical knowledge of the data center and the three infrastructure pillars; SAN, Network and Server
• Ability to perform storage assessments
• Knowledge of Virtual Tape Array technology
• Fundamental knowledge and experience with SAN, Server technologies and data center operations
• Working knowledge of high availability and business continuity from a technology and business process perspective, experience defining RPO/RTO expectations, and data replication technologies

Education / Certification:
• Post-Secondary education in a related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years experience working on storage delivery
• NetApp and/or HP Storage certification
