Grid Unix/Linux Systems Administrator
Description
Our financial client is looking for someone to be part of the Systems Administration group and this person will be responsible for providing technical support for the Corporate Investment Bank. This position is on the Capital Markets Global Grid SA Support team. The environment consists of approximately 850 servers running Red Hat Linux, 10 servers running Solaris, and 300 servers running Windows Server.
Responsibilities for the Global Grid Unix/Linux Systems Administrator include OS installation, patching, and day-to-day support. The ability to automate system administration tasks using shell scripting is required. Additional responsibilities include application deployment, capacity planning, system design, system security and compliance, network and application level troubleshooting, and system and network-level performance monitoring/tuning. You will work side by side with the Global Grid Windows Systems Administrators. You will also work closely with the Grid Application team on installing and configuring the grid scheduling software (Platform Symphony and LSF). A rounded individual with experience in many areas of Information Technology will be a successful candidate for this position.
