Dircector of Sales
Ensure that room sales and catering sales are focused to yield maximum revenue for hotel
- Promote and administer annual sales incentive plan
- Set and monitor quotas for monthly sales activities for property sales managers and catering managers
- Act as the hotel sales leader
- Work closely with the Hotel Manage, CDOS, and RDOS to identify and solicit potential sales accounts
- Manage relationship with Preferred Hotels and Resorts, acting as key contact for maximizing revenue through this affiliation
- Prepare monthly sales report in accordance with Corporate standard
- Execute approved annual marketing plan identifying other opportunities to change/enhance the plan and provide quarterly summaries on the changes
- Communicate effectively with corporate team regarding new marketing opportunities
- Work with Corporate Director of Marketing to ensure marketing activities are effective in bringing in business
- Be able to apply problem-solving skills and make qualified decisions on market segment tactics
- Oversee Director of Catering, Reservations Manager and Community Relations Manager ensuring that goals for each department are met
- Provide "one-up" sales assistance for property catering sales managers with key accounts or as necessary to close the business
- Have a working knowledge of the reservation network supporting the hotel
- Be familiar with Crisis Media procedures
- Determine staffing requirements, sales deployment, and areas of responsibility and manage the performance of sales staff according to their respective positions and job description
- Conduct weekly department meetings
- Be familiar with and enforce established policies and procedures in all hotel departments (Met Hotels Employee Handbook etc.) and be familiar with same in other divisions (Corporate Public Relations Manuel, Met Hotels Marketing Notebook etc)
- Actively interview potential sales candidates, staying in touch with who's who in the city
Job Requirements: - Excellent command of the English language is essential, both written and verbal
