Web UI Developer (contract)
Contract position for 2-3 months.
Requirements:
-Proven portfolio of highly trafficked consumer web properties.
-Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit)
-Expert level knowledge and experience with hand coding HTML / Javascript / CSS / AJAX / Web 2.0 (i.e. without the use of a design application).
-Prior experience creating front end experiences built upon applications leveraging J2EE practices including built in JSP / Struts, Velocity templates, and Google Web Tool Kit.
-Deep experience with implementing various web analytics products (ideally Omniture and/or Google Analytics) including defining and configuring custom tags to capture data, as well as being able to verify within the product that data is being captured accurately.
-Expert level knowledge in text encoding schemes / techniques as they relate to delivering web based consumer experiences in multiple languages.
-Competence in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices and techniques
-Knowledge of source code repositories including CVS and Subversion.
-Knowledge of relational database systems (ideally Oracle) and ability to hunt down data / information within a database.
-Understanding of content publishing processes including experience working with content management systems.
-A solid understanding of W3C requirements and proven ability to produce compliant code.
-Experience developing cross-browser compatible code in an AJAX environment.
-Firm grasp of core Internet technologies / services including HTTP, HTTPS, DNS and Content Distribution Networks (CDNs) |
