POSITION SUMMARY

We are expanding our development team to provide BlackBerry users with a rich multimedia experience. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on bringing the Adobe Flash player to the BlackBerry platform. This is a position with very high visibility and the potential for great impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for the successful candidate include:
• Development (design, implementation, debugging) of the Adobe Flash player on the BlackBerry
• Integration of the player with the BlackBerry Browser and other parts of the BlackBerry environment
• Working with quality assurance teams to develop comprehensive tests
• Production of design documentation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering preferred
• Candidate should have 3-7 years C/C++ software development skills of outstanding quality; preferably on a mobile or embedded platform
• Experience working on large and complex software projects is mandatory
• Ability to solve difficult problems and work with multiple teams simultaneously
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
• Java development; preferably on a mobile or embedded platform
• A thorough understanding of "how the Internet works", including the relevant protocols and standards
• Experience with Adobe Flash considered an asset for this role
