Description:
Duties will include assembly of fiber optic cable harnesses, termination, polishing, and inspection of optical fiber and connector. Candidate will perform tests, measurement and alignment of optical cables and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate MUST have 5 years of experience in fiber polishing, fabrication, connectors or cable assemblies. The candidate MUST have heavy experience with termination.
Required Skills:
• CABLE HARNESS, TERMINATION TESTING, polishing, FIBER OPTIC Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: performing fiber optic splicing, cutting, assembly and testing of cables. Assemble and align optical, mechanical, and electrical components into subassemblies.
• Experience in high-technology manufacturing environment with strong background in high-speed communications equipment (ROADM and 40G), including Optical. Hands on experience with fiber optic components and sub systems, including optical/RF amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, modulators, RF test and measurements.
• Experience in fiber optics management and fusion splicing, high precision optical alignment, fiber optic test equipment, data analysis, general optical testing and characterization required. Strong familiarity with optical network protocols (SONET and TCP/IP) preferred.
