Manager, Quality Assurance

We are seeking a skilled Manager, Quality Assurance, to lead projects through to successful conclusion: on-time, and on-budget. Working closely with business and client stakeholders, the manager will lead and be responsible for assessing risk, business requirement walkthroughs developing test strategies, test plans and for ensuring all documentation meets the expectations of the development team.

The Manager is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, proactively looks for continuous improvements, drives quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems and takes corrective action, owns/acts on quality problems. In addition, the Manager will foster collaboration with other analysts and developers to create and document & validate test plans, cases and manage automated and performance/functional regression testing.

Knowledge and Experience

·Eight or more years of in-depth experience in software quality assurance and testing supported by a Bachelor's degree or relevant years of experience.

·Demonstrated experience in managing a team of 6 10 analysts, including performance management and supervisory responsibilities.

·A proven track record of successfully leading quality assurance and test activities on complex system development or implementation projects.

·Experience working with quality assurance principles and practices and software development methodologies such as Borland Silk suite of Products (SilkTest, Silk Central, Silk Performer), RUP, Waterfall & Agile SDLC’s

·Experience of implementing automated testing solutions for Functional Regression testing and Performance testing.

·Proven ability to effectively lead and coach employees and consultants in software quality assurance and testing methods and best practices.

·Experience developing test strategies for large initiatives using a variety of techniques

·A sound understanding of software architecture, design and agile development processes such as RUP as they relate to software testing and quality assurance.

·Proven ability to plan and prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment in which priorities and direction may shift frequently.

·Very strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization.

·Proficiency with MS Project & MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
