We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position in our Mississauga location for a:
.NET Developer/Programmer
This position functions as part of a small highly versatile team of technology experts in the technology end of the Marketing industry. This position will be responsible for maintenance and consolidation of our existing systems as well as new product development.
As a .NET Developer/Programmer for infogroup | infoCanada, your responsibilities will include the following:
• Deploying and maintaining Web Services for B2B transactions – both internal and external – for various business process solutions
• Collaboration with the Product Manager and internal U.S. teams to provide the required technical solutions
• Understanding the business requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions
• Developing, evolving and documenting architecture standards and guidelines
• Initiating enterprise level integration towards enterprise Service Oriented Architecture
• Demonstrating critical thinking, accurately analyzing information and making sound decisions
• Participating in the development or modification of programs and applications, as needed
• Keeping up to date on new technology and continuously upgrading skills
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, relational data modeling and object/relational mapping
• Knowledge of Web Services and Standards that govern them
• Knowledge of VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, Visual Studio Team Foundation and SQL
• Three to five years’ experience in programming/analysis/software development
• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and certification
It would be great if the candidate also had these skills ……
• Knowledge of Azure and cloud computing
• RIA development tools such as Silverlight
• Some UI development experience
