Director of Development / Chief Architect
New Venture seeking Director of Development / Chief Architect
We’re a startup company that is looking to develop a first round prototype in order to bring onboard a pilot project. We are looking for an experienced software developer to help develop a smartphone-based system for large retailers that tracks user behavior & preferences in order to provide a relevant customer experience, similar to Amazon.com.
This is a well paid position, but we are open to a mix of pay & stock options.
We are based in downtown Toronto, and the position is open immediately.
Interested candidates should submit their resumes, and those selected will be further briefed on the proof of concept and the company. This will be followed by in-person interviews.
Required Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 year of experience or more in a software development position
- Bonus if you have small company or startup experience
Technology background preferred:
- Development experience with Objective C, C, C++, Java, Javascript
- Relational database knowledge, such as MySQL, PostGres, etc.
- 1+ years in iPhone development experience, with understanding of iPhone SDK and sqlite
- Web development experience
Qualities:
- Good communication, presentation and organization skills
- Entrepreneurial & creative spirit
- Very high level of motivation
- Fully fluent in English
- Attention to detail and passion for product quality
