Our Client a Canadian Success story is looking for a MicroStrategy Developer (Report Writer) for a 6 month to a 1 year contract.

Responsibilities:

Design and create new MicroStrategy reports and documents using MicroStrategy best practices and guidelines - (40%)
Work on reports' performance tuning - (5%)
Test reports for usability, data quality and performance - (20%)
Create subscriptions using MicroStrategy Narrowcast server - (10%)
Conduct requirement gathering sessions with users - (10%)
Conduct group and one-on-one user training sessions - (5%)
Provide specifications, documentation and time estimates for recommended solutions - (10%)
Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of application design, development, testing and implementation, methodologies and tools;
Excellent knowledge of a formal Systems Development Life Cycle methodology;
Business Intelligence tools
Required Skills & Abilities:

3 Years MicroStrategy experience.
Data Modeling and Mining an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of application design, development, testing and implementation, methodologies and tools;
Excellent knowledge of a formal Systems Development Life Cycle methodology;
Microstrategy and Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server).
Strong presentation and training skills/experience
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills;
Takes initiative, self-directed, and able to adapt readily to fast paced change;
Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of managing a large number of tasks and indirectly, resources;
Excellent understanding of the application of information technology to support business processes;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - in both technical and non-technical environments;
Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and negotiations on deliverables, timelines and resourcing of projects;
Proficient with personal computer productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, MS Outlook and Project Management tools;
Required Professional Designation/Certification:

Relevant skills and abilities normally acquired through a combination of 4-7 years' related experience in an information systems environment, preferably within Computer Science

Compensation: Hourly rate
