Sr. Programmer Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Developing software according to accepted standards based on user requirements through:
•Working with clients to define and analyze their business requirements.
•Developing and testing high quality code.
•Designing effective solutions in the context of our product domain and its technology base.
•Supporting the system users, both on-site and remotely.
•Participating in project and team meetings by providing design and development ideas.

REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
•Excellent written and verbal skills used to prepare system and program documentation.
•Strong development skills with Java, J2EE (EJB, Servlet, JSP, JSF), XML, XSLT and SOAP.
•Strong understanding of and experience with RDBMS and SQL.
•Strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL.
•Experience in using Eclipse and CVS.
•Hands on experience with J2EE application servers such as Jboss, Oracle iAS, WebLogic and WebSphere.
•Understanding and experience with STRUTS framework.
•Understanding of Modeling including UML and OOAD.
•Understanding of Development Processes/Methodologies.
•Experience with Web Services and understanding of SOA, ESB.
•Experience with rapid development techniques such as Extreme Programming and Agile Development.
•Strong knowledge of ANT for build environments.
•Experience with JSF components (Sun Studio Creator, Netbeans 6+).
•Sun Java certification an asset.
•Public Sector systems development background an asset.
•Ability to work on multiple development and support projects simultaneously and respond in high pressure situations by establishing own and team priorities to consistently meet assigned deadlines.
•Strong problem solving abilities.
•Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
•Willingness to work extra hours to meet client deadlines.
•Ability to travel up to 25% to USA.
•Demonstrates leadership and good work ethics.
•Oriented to continuous improvement and learning.
•Committed to organizational success.
