Senior SQL Developer
My client is looking for a Senior SQL Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. They're a publicly traded software company in downtown Toronto who have been industry leaders for over 25 years.
Key Responsibilities:
-Designing, developing, managing and maintaining multiple internal data
warehouses running on Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
-Testing and QA activities for ETL operations and proactive quality control measures to ensure data integrity and quality are maintained.
-Designing, developing and maintaining existing PL/SQL code to implement business logic for multiple clients and carrying out one-time operational activities.
-Addressing operational issues to meet established Service Level Agreements for product delivery and support.
Who Should Apply:
-Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-3-5 years of significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
-Strong knowledge of C#, XML, IIS, and excellent knowledge of .NET frameworks
-The work environment is very much run in ‘agency’ style
-Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, schema development and ER diagramming
-Proficient use of Integration Services, Reporting Services, complex T-SQL tuning, troubleshooting database performance problems, and administering very large databases
-Working experience with defining and executing ETL processes
Knowledge of Oracle is desired, but not mandatory. |
