IT Specialist - Datapower and Websphere
Responsibilities:
• Design, Build and deploy DataPower and WESB based infrastructures with an emphasis on DataPower web service mediations – in support of SOA based business solutions
• Engage in business projects to configure, troubleshoot and deploy business web services within DataPower and WESB
• Diagnose and resolve issues that arise in the ESB infrastructure (environment, hardware, performance, etc…)
• Participate in performance testing and tuning exercises of ESB solutions
• Maintain and analyze development server performance
• Coordinate and schedule environment upgrades
• System capacity planning and maintenance
• Provide consultation and analysis to identify process improvements to reduce test time, cost and improve quality/accuracy/efficiency
• Must have experience with supporting the development lifecycle from; design > development > pre-production > production > implementation > post-implementation support
• Interact with both internal and external technical community
• Technical ESB lead (infrastructure) on large SOA business project
Competencies Requirements:
• Applied experience with XML technologies including: XML, XSDs, XSLT and related tools
• Applied experience with deploying and troubleshooting web services including: WebSphere Admin, WSDLs and SOAP
• Excellent knowledge of and experience with various WS-* standards (WS-Security in particular)
• Applied experience in coding XSLT
• Applied experience using various scripting languages to automate IT processes
• Excellent knowledge of SSL technologies including configuring SSL, certifications, keystores and troubling
• Excellent UNIX (AIX preferred) experience
• Ability to ask probing questions to understand the various concepts presented/discussed
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable with working in a rapidly changing, technically complex environment
• Ability to provide technical guidance to junior team members
• Some project management and negotiation experience would be an asset
• Thorough understanding of PMLC and SDLC processes
• Some after-hours\weekend and rotating pager support required
• Must have experience working in a large enterprise class IT environment |
