Java Developer - Capital Markets - Toronto
Caspian One is working with a Toronto Based Investment bank who are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their enterprise architecture group. You will work closely with the business and dedicated business analysts across all asset classes through the front, middle and back office to establish requirements.
The role is a Java development role, working on the enterprise service bus within the enterprise architecture group. The ESB will provide an abstraction layer on top of an implementation of an enterprise messaging system, which allows integration architects to exploit the value of messaging without writing code. The message model defines a standard set of messages that the ESB will both transmit and receive. The role is a great opportunity for someone with a capital markets grounding to get a broader understanding of how applications are built and used across various asset classes within the bank.
You will have good capital markets knowledge (ideally equity derivatives and credit risk) and a 4+ years Java experience and ideally will have used messaging technologies such as JMS, MQ, Tibco EMS, XSLT and XML. C# and or C++ would be highly advantageous. Good communication and presentation skills are essential.
