Web Developer
We are searching for an energetic, creative and articulate person to join our team as a WEB DEVELOPER. The Web Developer will have a focus on all website activity; both front and backend development. If you enjoy a fast paced environment and thrive on finding solutions for challenging projects, then we’d like to meet you. The Web Developer reports to the Managing Art Director. Specifics on the requirements of the role are below.
Responsibilities:
•Works closely with the Managing Art Director to design and implement websites
•Creates and designs website prototypes; including mockups, site layout and navigation
•Collaborates with database administrator on SQL based projects
•Responsible for back-end web development and programming – ability to create well structured, valid and compliant code
•Web design and maintenance
•Works closely with internal and external contacts i.e. marketing, production, IT, etc.
•Various related projects.
Software Skills:
•Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, and Javascript
•Must know MS-SQL or MySQL (Query and Stored Procedure)
•Solid knowledge of XML and Ajax
•Popular Javascript frameworks and library such as JQuery and YUI
•Photoshop, Fireworks & web graphic optimization
•Knowledge in JSON, Apache and IIS, Wordpress customization, SEO and email marketing are an asset

•Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•Creativity and ability to think “outside the box”
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Self-starter
•Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
•Keen attention to detail
•Knowledge and/or experience with graphic and promotional design is a definite plus i.e. promotional flyers/brochures/advertisements, websites/new media, etc.
•Bilingualism is an asset.
Educational requirements:
Post-secondary education in web development, digital media arts, information technology or related program.
