Web Developer
We are seeking a senior PHP developer for exciting web development projects. The developer will work within a team to conceptualize and develop web-based applications that meet expectations of the company and overall projects goals.
Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience in design and development of web application in a LAMP environment, a positive team player attitude, and be excited and ready to be challenged technically and grow overall technical skills.
Requirements & qualifications:
• A degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
• Candidates must have 3+ years of developing web based applications, including strong experience in the following:
• PHP 5, XML, JavaScript (AJAX) and CSS
• MySQL development
• Object Oriented Concepts within PHP 5
• Debugging PHP applications
• Developing backend web tools and content management systems
• Writing modular, documented and efficient code
• High-traffic PHP environments
• Strong understanding of open source web technologies and LAMP environment
• Able to multi-task / change task on short notice
Nice to have:
• Experience with open source CMS such as Drupal would be an asset
• JavaScript libraries such as YUI and JQuery
* Candidates must have a portfolio of previous sites developed and code samples available for review.
