ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
Integral part of the QA team at Workopolis
Design, build, test and deploy effective test automation and test automation framework solutions
Applies appropriate technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the testing organization
Lead the design and implementation of Load and Performance tuning and testing
REQUIRED SKILLS
10 years in a QA role
3-5 years in a Senior QA role
1-3 years QA developer
1-3 years Application Developer
College Diploma or University Degree and/or related experience
Expert knowledge in the evaluation, use and application of Automated Test and Load testing tools
1. Microsoft Visual Studio Load and Automated tools
2. Mercury Suite of test tools
Expert knowledge of SQA procedures, policies and principles
Strong development background (.NET or Java or PHP)
1. Preferably .NET / C#
Strong experience in Javascript, HTML, XML and CSS
System experience with Windows and Linux servers, including administration and scripting
Expert knowledge of Web and Client-Server environments
Advanced knowledge of current web technologies, infrastructure and browser technologies
Must have whole understanding of the automation process including test automation, load automation for online applications
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details
Ability to work under pressure, heavy workloads, tight deadlines and high expectations
Advanced understanding of software & technology
Customer service attitude
Positive work attitude and desire to learn
PREFERRED SKILLS
“Ajax” client testing would be considered as an asset
MS Visual Studio Test (granted not widely used)
Done development before to have more complete understanding of the
QA process
Worked in a development role not just QA
Interfaced with development teams-can work with development teams
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION
University Computer Science Degree or 10 years experience in the overall QA role
