Information Systems Analyst
Job Description:
• Analyze overall technical design and detailed technical specifications to generate applications to support the development of new and/or re-engineered systems/ applications.
• Analyze software change requests and implement the changes. Modifies logical information flows and processes in accordance with requested application enhancements or customizations.
• Analyze and generates solutions to resolve software design and program deficiencies in existing or new systems.
• Participates in the preparation of work estimates and progress reports on project work.
• Maintains ongoing contact with the IT Manager and internal clients to ensure project deliverables and client change requests are being met through new applications development and/or enhancements/customizations to existing applications.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of applicable experience.
• Technical and Functional proficiency with Oracle Financials, Distribution and Manufacturing as it relates to Order Management in an Oracle ERP environment is required.
• Knowledge of standard Accounts Receivables, Business Flows and Financials for an Oracle ERP solution is required.
• Requires a combination of technical skills (ORACLE RDMS/SQL 9i and up, Oracle Jdeveloper, Oracle Suite of Tools, ORACLE iAS/Apache, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, XML Gateway, UNIX and Oracle Workflow) and solid knowledge of Oracle 11i tables and functional setups.
• Experience supporting Business Applications in production environment; previous experience in business analysis.
• Experience with formal system development methodologies and standards are required.
• Understanding of IT project development methodologies.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Ability to understand and prioritize user and business requirements and to conceptualize information processing solutions in response to them.
• Ability to analyze scope and define work effort required to correct program deficiencies and problems.
• Ability to plan and manage workload effectively.
• Strong team player with a client/user orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas/processes in simple terminology.
• Proficient in requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, implementation and documentation, as well as system/application upgrades.
• Project leadership experiences with cost, schedule, and quality responsibilities.
• Ability to multitask within a fast paced and dynamic workplace.
• Previous experience creating and delivering presentations to all levels of an organization.
• Self-starter, willing to initiate action. |
