Our client is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join there IT Group in the Toronto office.

Full Time Salaried position + bonus + Benefits
Downtown Toronto
POSITION SUMMARY: This position leads major network projects in design, architecture and
implementation planning as well as plays the leading role on a team of network engineers.
Day to day responsibilities include:
This individual will require strong technical leadership.
Must possess strong experience in network troubleshooting capabilities in a crisis
management environment.
Responsible for LAN, WAN network hardware and software evaluations, testing and
deployment
Responsible for development, support and management of LAN, WAN, and IP protocols
including OSPF and BGP
Develops and investigates user requirements for network design with the various
business units
Contacts and manages vendors for equipment evaluation and orders.
Maintains all network addressing, documentation, diagrams and account information
Monitors network capacity to ensure proper configurations are implemented suggesting
ways to improve and streamline efficiencies.
Stays informed of current technologies in order to support the users and the business.
This position requires a strong working and operational knowledge of Cisco technologies
across the various platforms: routing/switching, wireless, security
Skills Required:
Qualifications include:
BS Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent in education and/or experience
Minimum of 3 years specific experience a networking
Strong working knowledge of PC and Network technologies, across all Microsoft
Operating Systems and Network monitoring tools
Excellent communications both written and verbal, strong leadership skills, passion for
the technology and new challenges, superior troubleshooting and analytical skills, and
the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management, and other technical staff
The ability to conduct effective meetings and lead a team of engineers while keeping
them focused moving projects forward.
This position requires the ability to guide engineers to make proper decisions both in
technology and tactically. |
