Sharepoint Analyst/Developer
The SharePoint Analyst/Developer will analyze business requirements for content management and design, develop and implement SharePoint facilities to support those requirements. Duties include:
• develop technical requirements from business requirements;
• design SharePoint facilities;
• develop, implement and deploy SharePoint functionality; and
• support SharePoint services.
Reporting Relationship & Span of Control:
The SharePoint Analyst/ Developer reports to the Manager of Information Management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with OAHPP business functions and stakeholders to understand and document requirements and features;
• Research, present options and prototype solutions;
• Develop, design and deploy OAHPP Intranet and web presence using SharePoint technologies;
• Communicate to project managers regarding timelines, deliverables and risks;
• Design, develop and support application solutions to meet requirements;
• Create and maintain: design, development, test plans and system documentation;
• Research, assess, recommend and implement third party solutions; and
• Keep up to date on the latest developments in SharePoint and ensure that where appropriate these developments are included in the work of the OAHPP.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Intermediate to Expert level competency in SharePoint Technologies
• Understanding of logical information architecture and SharePoint concepts of web applications, site collection and sites
• Experience delivering solutions leveraging Microsoft SharePoint 2007, including:
o Using SharePoint Designer 2007
o Understanding of Office Suite integration with SharePoint
o Ability to develop event receivers
o Knowledge of MOSS object model
o Using Visual Studio to develop SharePoint solutions
o Development of solutions using features
o Development and deployment of solution packages
o Develop customized master pages and application pages
• Ability to create and conduct basic SharePoint end-user training
• Demonstrable experience developing solution architectures
• Demonstrable experience supporting and trouble shooting SharePoint technical environment
• Ability to carry out custom development, including complex workflows
• Expert level competence in ASP.NET, XML and Web Services, and Windows Forms
• Expert level competence in C# or VB.Net
• Broad experience with .NET Framework
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Leadership experience throughout the software lifecycle
• Experience in Systems Analysis and Design
• Strong analytical, problem solving and design skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent ability to independently prioritize demands and resolve issues
Education and Experience:
• An undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent
• Three (3) or more years experience developing for SharePoint or other content management systems
• Three (3) or more years hands-on and recent project experience with Microsoft .NET technologies
• Minimum 2 years of database design and development experience with 2 years of Microsoft SQL Server 2005
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer .NET (MCSD.NET)
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in SharePoint
• Familiar with requirements gathering and analysis tools and methods.
