Application Developer
Trapeze Media (trapeze.com) is seeking a talented hands-on individual to join our team as an Application Developer and play a key role in the development of our ongoing Facebook initiatives. As a Trapeze employee, you will contribute to award-winning interactive initiatives with clients such as CBS, Crayola, Canadian Tire, Disney, Pizza Hut, MTV, Newline Cinema, Sesame Street and Sobeys.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Application Developer, you will be accountable for:
- Creating clean well-structured reusable code and optimized applications
- Assisting in the authorship of proposals by preparing prototypes and specifications
- Planning and implementing application architecture and data models
- Meeting project deadlines and development goals while providing regular status reports and tracking production hours
- Testing and debugging applications
- Preparing detailed technical documentation during project implementation
- Researching and prototyping new emergent technologies, and engaging in cross-training of other staff
REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant must possess a minimum of two years related industry experience with the following technologies:
- PHP / MySQL
- Either Drupal, Django or general Python experience (please specify)
- HTML / CSS
- JavaScript
- CMS implementation experience
The applicant must also possess:
- Sound knowledge of object-oriented methodology
- A firm understanding of usability and accessibility principles
- PC / Mac flexibility
OPTIONAL, BUT NICE TO HAVE...
- Experience developing within the Facebook API (strongly prefered)
- Flash (including ActionScript 2+ proficiency, component architecture and use of external data sources)
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Dreamweaver
- Eclipse
- SubVersion
- Linux
- J2EE and other Java-based technologies
