Snr. BI Implementation Lead
LOCATION: Toronto - Worldwide
POSITION TYPE: Full time
SALARY: Based on experience
START DATE: As soon as possible
The Implementation Specialist will have wide-ranging responsibilities in providing support for customers of the MI9 Microstrategy and .net Windows-based, Business Intelligence and merchandising systems. He or she will travel to customer sites to install and configure the system, train customers in its use, and ensure successful implementation. In addition, when not at a customer site, the Implementation Specialist will provide technical support where or support other development and services activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
At customer sites, the Implementation Specialist will:
• Install and configure the system
• Manage installation and training schedules
• Train customers in both classroom and individual settings *
• Manage the work of customers
• Make presentations to client groups
• Put system into production
• Provide initial support of live system
• Refine and improve implementation and training methods
• Ensure overall success of a software installation
• Perform other tasks as assigned
When not at customer sites, the Implementation Specialist will:
• Provide technical support to customers and internal resources
• Provide information regarding customer needs to engineering and marketing
• Develop client services infrastructure
• Perform other tasks as assigned
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• The ability to travel up to 75 percent - ability to work in US.
• At least three years experience in retail, business intelligence and implementation
• At least 2+ years direct development/implementation experience with Microstrategy 7.x, 8.x
• A desire to work directly with clients and end users
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent listening, presentation, and teaching skills
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
• The ability to balance competing tasks in a rapidly changing environment
• Fluency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel
• A willingness to take personal ownership for the success of a software implementation
