Sr. J2EE Programmer
This position is for an Intermediate/Senior Java Developer who will analyze, design, and implement features/modules in an existing application to address specific business processes and needs. The candidate will have an opportunity to work with leading edge technologies.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Participate in analyzing business requirements and translating into technical specifications to address the needs
- Create technical pecifications
- Implement new functionality or modules in existing product line
- Write and execute unit tests to ensure behaviour is in accordance to the Functional Specifications
- Work closely with the product management team during the design phase of the project
- Work closely with the quality assurance team during testing cycles to diagnose and correct issues
Mandatory Qualifications
- Requires a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Requires 5+ years of J2EE experience
- Requires 2+ years of Java Swing experience
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
Other Desirable Qualifications:
- Practical user interface design experience
- Functional and/or technical experience with SAP R/3 is a definite asset
- Document management experience is a definite asset
- Sun certification is a plus
