Position Title: WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
Location: TORONTO, ON
Reports To: MANAGER, REMOTE SERVER MANAGEMENT
Description: The incumbent will be involved in all aspects of Systems Administration, both hardware and software within a 24x7x365 data centre.
Responsibilities:
· Work independently and as part of a team using his/her skills to solve customers’ technical issues in various Windows environment
· Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation
Qualifications: The incumbent must possess excellent communication, documentation and project implementation skills along with the ability to effectively function as a team player in addition to juggling multiple responsibilities with competing priorities. The individual must be adept at managing multiple concurrent requests.
1. Experience as a Windows Administrator in a production environment/large data centre
2. Experience with Lotus Domino
3. In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
4. Experience in Root Cause analysis and Problem Determination processes
5. Experience with Disaster Recovery related processes
6. Working knowledge of Remote Server Management
7. Working knowledge on network, systems and application monitoring
8. Knowledge of basic Networking and Troubleshooting
9. MCSE
**Desired**
1. Knowledge of VB scripting
2. Knowledge of any of the following: IIS, SQL, Exchange, Oracle, WebSphere, WebLogic, LDAP, Apache
