Project Manager
Position Title: Project Manager

Primary Objective:
The Project Manager is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering corporate projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications. To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each projects lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of the Project Manager (PM) is to provide the following functions for ACP:
a)Leadership of Projects – start to finish
b)Client Liaison – single point of contact to ACP
c)Maintain ACP Methodology and Standards of Excellence
d)Validation and Audit Support of Clients Assets
e)Client training – start to finish
In providing these roles, the PM will work closely and coordinate all activities with Marketing, Sales,
Customer Support, Analysts, Product Development and IT.
Main Responsibilities
•Manage the entire lifecycle of the project portfolio once contract is awarded
•Ensure implementation and supervision of all software, consulting and or training services
•Monitor contract and ensure deliverables, escalating financial and technical issues.
•Provide information on a monthly basis for resource needs with project management team ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
•Complete analysis of client needs, determine resource requirements, estimate hours required for each proposal and / or identify and recommend additional service offerings
•Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success.
•Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or PM methods.
•Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams throughout their efforts to produce deliverables according to specification.
•Escalate any resource needs to Director to ensure client service is maintained
•Solicit feedback, input, and expectations; share with project management team
•Adhere to established methodologies for project management.
•Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings.
•Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary.
•Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
•Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
•Manage project dependencies.
•Conduct project post mortems in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings
Client Liaison
•Provide Single-Point-of-Contact for client on a day to day basis;
•Final Authority and sign-off on Client Proposal and deliverables;
•Coordinate all Project Communications between Client and ACP staff;
•Enter and maintain integrity of all client contact information;
•Coordinate monthly billing and invoicing to client.
Maintain ACP Methodology and Standards of Excellence
•Coordinate data gathering and inspect data integrity;
•Advise/consult client on capital asset planning processes and execution;
•Review client capital practices and apply ACP methodology;
Validation and Audit Support of Clients Assets
•Develop Validation & Audit plans: scope and schedule;
•Identify 3rd party suppliers or audit firms that will participate in client audits;
•Review Audit plans with client (and 3rd party suppliers as applicable);
•Execute Audit Plan personally or through 3rd party;
•Project Manage the data collection process consistent with ACP Methodology Standards of Excellence;
•Verify the integrity of the data being collected and coordinate file management to ensure high quality deliverables.
Client Training
•Provide System training to clients either on-line or in-class following the project proposal outline (up to 5 days);
•Responsible for coordinating all training related task:
oPrepare student workbooks;
oInstall Client training software either in the training room or at client site;
oTravel arrangements;
oComplete training registration forms and feedback.
•Ensure adequate level of training has been provided.
Final Application and Database Installation & Implementation
•Responsibility to ensure the software application and database are installed and working correctly in the client environment, work closely with Technical Support staff;
•Ensure smooth integration of the software application and other client owned Business application software packages;
•Ensure the smooth transition from existing client processes and tools to the new system;
•Advise client on the best ways to incorporate prior and new processes into their organization;
•Advise Account Executive on future services/consulting that could be scheduled with the client.
Regular Work Hours:
•As per client and corporate requirements – flexibility required with significant time investment during periods of heavy demand.
•Overnight travel within Canada and U.S. as required by project
•Attend management, marketing and professional development events as required
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:
•Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
•Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
•Superb creation and facilitation of meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings in order to create consensus among stakeholders.
•Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
•Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
•Familiar with various programming languages and development platforms, including database management an asset
•Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
•Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
•Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
•Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
•Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.

Education/Professional Development/Work Experience Requirements:
•Bilingual (French / English) preferred
•Relevant University degree
•2 years of direct work experience in project management an asset
•PMP an asset
•Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
