Tester
FIME is looking for a Tester in smart cards and terminals to support the expansion of its testing laboratory in Montreal (FIME America). At the laboratory testing center, the resource will be responsible for carrying out contactless product tests in accordance with test authorities such as MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
Responsibilities:
- execute contactless test plans in accordance with EMVCo, Mastercard or Visa referentials, on smart cards, mobiles or smart card readers
- analyze « FAIL » tests and perform 1st level of technical analysis
- write test reports in English
- optimize our testing solutions / bench tests
- provide expertise on customer products
- monitor evolution of standards and specifications
- comply with quality system cycles and requirements (ISO 17025)
- national and international travel as required
Technical and personal qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in RF technology (RF systems or RF tests)
- experience in testing banking terminals and/or smart cards
- ability to read and interpret documents (test plans, specifications)
- contact (ISO/IEC 7816) and contact less (ISO/IEC14443 and ISO/IEC 18092)smart card standards knowledge
- knowledge of the following standards: NFC, RFID and EMV (PayPass, PayWave)
- knowledge of cellular technology
- skills in electrical testing and measurement (good knowledge of oscilloscopes & spectrum analyzers)
- college or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications specialization
- bilingual spoken and written (English and French)
- ability to follow technical guidelines
- methodical and logical skills
- excellent analytical skills
- good technical writer
