Senior Programmer Analyst
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IT Shareholder Systems team. As a member of the Shareholder Systems IT group, you will participate in the responsibility for the development, maintenance and support of the Unit Holder record keeping system also known as the Transfer Agent. Supported by a fully complimentary IT department, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of initiatives and will be expected to be the lead developer on initiatives that will challenge your analytical and technical skills.

POSITION: Senior Programmer Analyst
LOCATION: Toronto (M5J 0A3)
STATUS: Full-time
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Analyze functional requirements and develop structured code to meet the business objectives
• Thoroughly unit test finished products to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Prepare and maintain technical documents and specifications according to established standards
• Support and maintain existing processes to ensure systems integrity
• Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide and collaborate with team members to resolve production issues in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• 7+ years of application development experience
• Able to work well under pressure and within time constraints
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Experience in the financial industries an asset
TECHNICIAL SKILLS:
• Experience with relational databases (Sybase, Oracle) using Transact-SQL, SQR Perl, C
• Familiarity with multi-platform environments such as Windows XP, Unix, AIX
EDUCATION:
• University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related
