Product Manager
Position Description
NRX Product Managers help the company establish a position as the leading software solution in the market for asset information management (AIM). This includes:
Development of the product strategy –the process of collecting, understanding, and evaluating inputs from the market, customers, analysts, NRX employees and business partners to identify, document, and gain support for the product level strategy
Communication of the product strategy –internally to the NRX development team, services team, sales, and marketing and externally to customers, partners, investors, and analysts
Execution of the product strategy –secure management support for the product strategy, develop shorter term product roadmaps for the NRX development team to implement, provide marketing with content to enable effective positioning and messaging, educate the sales team to position and sell existing and proposed solutions, and work directly with customers to position and sell the solution.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and execute the long term product strategy for NRX Solutions.
• Conduct market research, industry research, and competitor analysis in the market verticals, industry domains, and geographies that NRX operates in.
• Develop use cases and functional specifications for new product features and enhancements
• Assist in the creation and implementation of a product release plan.
• Provide content, direction and support for product marketing
• Support product implementation and demonstrations during the early stages of a product release
• Support business development activities, conferences, and speaking engagements as required
• Interface with customers/partners/internal sales groups to educate and advise on how NRX solutions can be implemented and used to provide the best value.
Knowledge, Skill, Experience and Education Required
• Thorough understanding of the information management lifecycle for capital projects
• Previous product management experience in a growth oriented and fast moving software company
• Industry experience in maintenance, operations and supply chain/materials management
• General knowledge of SAP products, advanced enterprise software applications (specifically EAM, MM and PM is an asset) and operating systems
• Technically literate, familiar with emerging technologies and trends in information management processes and architecture
• Experience interfacing with industry analysts with organizations like Gartner, ARC Meta Group etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Good customer presence, communication and interpersonal skills with effective presentation skills (especially for relationship building and presentation skills)
• University degree in relevant discipline (Computer Science, Business, Marketing) MBA or Masters degree preferred.
