Receptionist (Fluent in Portuguese)
Medisys Health Group is a leading Canadian provider of healthcare and medical imaging services to corporations and individuals and health-related underwriting support services to insurance companies. Through its national network of facilities, including offices in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, Medisys’ corporate health services division delivers preventive, diagnostic and consultative healthcare services to approximately 4,000 corporations, including 320 companies of the Financial Post 500.
POSITION SUMMARY
The receptionist is responsible for professional and friendly interaction with patients and staff, booking appointments, processing and filing documents and processing billing. This is a full-time position.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Answering the phones and booking appointments
2. Registering patients and processing payments
3. Answering patients’ questions and providing instruction
4. Faxing, photocopying and scanning documents
5. Deliver reports
6. Pulling and filing charts
7. OHIP billing and verification
8. General filing and archiving
9. Other related tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinic, doctor’s office or other healthcare-related environment
- High school diploma
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and exposure to patient databases and/or appointment scheduling software
- Demonstrated strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and an independent worker
- Fluent in Portuguese (required)
